A cat discovered a Dione rat snake (scientific name: Elaphe dione). Immediately, it blocked the opponent’s path, as these two species are natural enemies. The snake, sensing the threat, coiled into a defensive position and raised its head high to intimidate the foe.
The cat continuously throws “cat punches” to hit the snake on the head.
Seeing this, the cat showed no fear and kept throwing “cat punches” to strike the snake’s head. This is a common attack method that cats use when encountering snakes. However, these strikes did not land effectively.
As a result, after a while of attacking, the cat abandoned its intention to feast on the opponent and allowed the snake to leisurely crawl away in front of it. The Dione rat snake is a non-venomous snake but can still escape when faced with its “natural enemy.”
