With this achievement, Gregory Foster has broken his own record by eating 3 peppers in 8.72 seconds.
“This record attempt is a personal challenge to see how far I can push myself and my love for super spicy peppers. Not everyone can eat this kind of pepper. I can manage for about 30 seconds, but then the heat really kicks in. It feels like a stream of molten lava. It hurts a lot,” said Gregory Foster.
For a long time, Gregory Foster has enjoyed spicy food, with peppers being among his favorites. He eats hot peppers like others eat candy. Currently, Gregory Foster runs his own business called Inferno Farms, which specializes in selling spicy products and sauces. He owns a farm that grows various types of peppers.
When asked why he chose hot peppers to develop his career and set a world record, Gregory Foster stated, “It’s all about my passion.”

The hot pepper variety developed by American breeder Ed Currie is red and bumpy, with a skeletal shape and a small, sharp tail. In 2017, the Guinness Organization recognized the Carolina Reaper as the hottest pepper in the world.
Gregory Foster sets a record by eating 10 Carolina Reaper peppers.
The Carolina Reaper has an average heat level of 1,641,183 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), with some peppers reaching up to 2.2 million. SHU is the scale used to measure the heat of peppers, developed by American chemist Wilbur Scoville in 1912.
This pepper variety was originally named “HP22B”, created by Ed Currie, who runs PuckerButt Pepper Company in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Ed Currie has dedicated most of his life to searching for and breeding the hottest pepper varieties in the world. The capsaicin content in this pepper variety is nearly equivalent to standard American hot sauce.
Through his ongoing efforts to set records for eating the hottest peppers in the world, Gregory Foster aims to prove that humans can conquer any level of spiciness if they have a passion for food and enjoy spicy dishes.
