Around 10 AM yesterday, June 8, an inter-agency inspection team including inspectors from the Ministry of Culture and Information, in coordination with the Cyber Crime Prevention Department (C15, Ministry of Public Security), conducted an inspection at An Phat Technical Services Trading Company located at 90 Nguyen Trai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

During the inspection, the inter-agency team discovered 26 CPUs using unregistered software applications from Microsoft, including Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Media, Microsoft Office, and other applications such as Lạc Việt Dictionary, Photoshop, Corel, and AutoCAD.
Additionally, the team confiscated 65 CDs containing other software applications that the company used for installation at customer requests. According to an inspector from the Ministry of Culture and Information, for the act of using unlicensed software, in addition to destroying all confiscated CDs, the company could face a fine ranging from 10 to 30 million VND.
