The Veterinary Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) reported that the number of communes experiencing avian influenza outbreaks continues to decrease. Currently, there are 88 communes in 45 districts, towns, and cities across 14 provinces and cities with ongoing outbreaks that have not lasted more than 21 days.

In Ninh Binh, on December 13, an outbreak of avian influenza occurred among a flock of 288 ducks, resulting in the death of 28 ducks in Yen Hoa commune, Yen Mo district. The provincial veterinary department has destroyed the entire flock.
Meanwhile, in other provinces where there have been no new outbreaks, as of December 14, Hai Duong province has destroyed 2,302 ducks and geese in Kinh Mon district; Quang Tri province has culled 15,421 ducks across 11 communes in 5 districts; and Cao Bang province has destroyed 1,289 chickens.
Currently, there are 88 communes in 45 districts, towns, and cities across 14 provinces and cities where outbreaks have occurred and have not lasted more than 21 days. These provinces include Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, and Quang Tri.
Thus, Hai Duong (with the outbreak starting on November 23) has not reported any new cases for at least 21 days.
From October 1 to now, the total number of culled poultry stands at 3.6 million (including poultry destroyed in urban areas).
