Several ancient fortifications, built over 3,000 years ago, have recently been discovered by Chinese archaeologists in the Yujiang region of Jiangxi Province, located in eastern China.
Archaeologists report that these fortifications were constructed using earth and measure approximately 15 meters in width. They encompass over 40,000 square meters of land in the area.
Initial examination results indicate that these fortifications were built during the Shang Dynasty (1600 – 1100 BC) and the Zhou Dynasty (1046 – 256 BC). Excavation work is still ongoing.
This discovery will provide significant insights into the study of the culture and history of the fortifications in the region.
