According to a massive database of U.S. government reports recently released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), encounters with unidentified flying objects (UFOs), also known as unidentified aerial phenomena, have resulted in Americans suffering from radiation burns, brain injuries, and neurological damage.
The document database consists of over 1,500 pages related to UFOs from the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP)—a secret program by the U.S. Department of Defense that operated from 2007 to 2012. Although it was never classified as secret or top secret, AATIP only became known to the public in 2017 when former program director Luis Elizondo resigned from the Pentagon and released several famous videos showing an unidentified aircraft moving in unusual ways.
Radiation burns and brain injuries are common symptoms for those who encounter UFOs.
Shortly after the existence of AATIP was revealed, The Sun newspaper in the U.S. filed a FOIA request for all documents related to this program. Four years later, on April 5, 2022, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) honored this request by releasing over 1,574 pages of documents to The Sun.
According to The Sun, the cache of documents includes reports on the biological effects of UFO sightings on humans, studies on advanced technologies such as cloaking devices, and plans for deep space exploration and colonization.
One notable document is a report titled “Acute and Subacute Field Effects on Human Tissue and Biological Tissue,” dated March 2010. The report describes alleged injuries to human observers caused by unusual advanced aerospace systems, some of which may pose a “threat to U.S. interests.”
The report details 42 cases from medical records and 300 “unpublished” cases in which humans were injured after encountering “anomalous vehicles,” including UFOs.
The report states that in some instances, individuals exhibited burns or other conditions related to electromagnetic radiation—some of which appeared to be caused by “energy-related propulsion systems.”
Additionally, the report noted cases of brain damage, neurological damage, rapid heartbeat, and headaches related to UFO encounters.
The report also includes a list of the biological effects of UFO sightings on observers, documented from 1873 to 1994.
In conclusion, the report asserts that there is sufficient evidence to support the hypothesis that some advanced systems have been deployed and remain unclear to the full understanding of the United States.
