The 2022 Humorous Animal Photography Awards have reached the finals, with 40 works selected for this round. The moments featuring a galloping zebra, a headless penguin, and a chubby seal are just three of the 40 entries that made it to the shortlist. This year’s competition attracted thousands of participating photographers.
This award was established in 2015 by two professional photographers, Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, to depict the interesting, even quirky lives of wildlife through photography. Sullam noted that each photo brings a smile. “The natural world has so many fascinating aspects. The submitted works authentically represent wildlife through humorous and genuine perspectives,” shared photographer Sullam.
