The vehicle is equipped not only with the driving mechanism but also with a Wi-Fi reception and transmission unit and a camera for monitoring the road. The steering wheel is fixed in one position, yet the operator can still sense the vehicle’s speed, road adherence, and vibrations while traveling. If the vehicle is running on a predetermined path, it can simply be programmed without the need for manual control.
Student Nguyễn Thanh Tuyên stated that this type of vehicle could be further developed for use in transporting goods. However, the current limitation of controlling the vehicle via Wi-Fi only allows operation within a narrow radius. Therefore, the team is conducting further research to enable control through mobile phones using 3G signals.
