A female staff member at the Utah Reptile Center in the USA was unexpectedly attacked by a large crocodile, which bit her hand and dragged her into the water.
A video capturing the horrifying moment shows the crocodile trainer chatting with visitors when the animal suddenly lunged at her.
Donnie Wiseman, 48, one of the visitors present at the scene, jumped into the water and climbed onto the crocodile’s head to assist the victim. After pulling the trainer to the surface, the crocodile’s jaws clamped down tightly on her hand, refusing to let go.
Shane Richins, the owner of the facility, stated that the trainer was opening the enclosure to feed the crocodile as usual, but this time the reptile was “a bit aggressive.”
While Donnie Wiseman climbed onto the crocodile, trying everything to make it open its mouth, Todd Christopher guided him on how to help her escape from the water.

Donnie Wiseman said: “I didn’t think much. I just did what needed to be done. Luckily, the crocodile wasn’t too big compared to me.”
Amy Christopher, who has medical knowledge, quickly performed first aid steps before the emergency team arrived at the scene.
Shane Richins noted that the crocodile involved in the incident had recently undergone surgery and was on antibiotics.

The center also expressed gratitude to the brave visitors who helped the trainer during the incident. A representative from the center stated that these gentlemen could have stayed in a safe area like most of us, but instead, they did not hesitate to assist her. Their help, combined with the training of our staff, likely saved her life.
