A Dutch inventor has developed a headstone equipped with an LCD screen capable of displaying images and video clips.
The headstone features an infrared sensor that activates the screen whenever someone stands in front of the grave. The screen lights up with messages about the deceased, along with corresponding images and videos.
Henk Rozema, 65, from Zwolle, came up with the idea after creating a DVD about his life to showcase at his birthday celebration. When many friends wanted to copy that DVD, Rozema realized he could create something more impactful and decided to invent a digital headstone.
“I am an engineer, and I believe this is entirely possible. We are no longer in the Stone Age. This is the digital era,” he stated.
