Zhangjiajie Danxia Geopark in China is famous for its unique terrain, particularly the colorful Rainbow Mountain. However, this area is also blessed with equally captivating natural wonders. The Gaoqi Ling mountain stands out as a magnificent natural creation that no visitor should miss when coming here.
Originally a river basin, this natural wonder features steep slopes formed by waterfalls that have been eroded over time by rain and wind. Today, the sharp mountain ridges are likened to gigantic blades or the spine of a sleeping dragon, with protruding ribs.
Gaoqi Ling offers stunning views of the Zhangjiajie Danxia Geopark. However, some sections of the mountain slopes are warned to be extremely dangerous due to the absence of barriers or cables, which could prevent daring visitors from slipping down the slopes. Still, many choose to take the risk, believing that it will bring them good luck.
