On May 17, fishermen from Thuan An Ward (Hue City) conducted a burial ceremony for a nearly 4.5-meter-long sea fish that had washed ashore in a deceased state.
Prior to this, local residents discovered a fish with a moderately wide body but measuring close to 4.5 meters in length and weighing several dozen kilograms, which had drifted to the beach area near Minh Hai neighborhood (Thuan An Ward, Hue City).
Based on its shape, color, length, and fin structure, local fishermen identified this as a paddlefish that inhabits marine environments.
