One of the most exciting new attractions in Dubai is the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library officially opened its doors in June 2022. This library boasts an impressive collection, featuring over 1.1 million printed and digital books, housed within a sprawling facility of 54,000 square meters.

Currently, the number of books continues to grow. However, 1.1 million titles is already a remarkable figure. In addition to multilingual printed and digital books, visitors can access over 6 million electronic theses, 73,000 music pieces, and 35,000 international magazines.
The library is described as a beautiful ‘oasis’ of quiet reflection, where visitors can focus on reading. Tourists are impressed by its architecture, which resembles an open book. The true inspiration for the library comes from the remaining part of the rehl, a book stand used to hold the Quran.
Previously, Dubai was known primarily as a commercial and tourist hub. Now, this iconic building sends a message that the foundations of culture and education still thrive in Dubai amidst the digital transformation era. There is no better way to convey this than through the books housed in this library, reaching out to people worldwide.
Another highlight of the library is its diverse reading formats. Readers can freely choose between using an iPad or traditional printed books. There’s no need to worry, as the library ensures high-quality materials, allowing readers to enjoy their experience without being affected by electronic devices.
