An earthquake occurred at 9:27 AM this morning (May 27) with a magnitude of 3.4 in the Nho Quan district of Ninh Binh. Residents in the area reported feeling mild tremors from the earthquake.
The Earthquake Information Center and Tsunami Warning Center reported that the earthquake struck at 9:27:12 AM (Hanoi time) at coordinates 20.196N-105.778E, at a depth of approximately 17 km with a magnitude of 3.4.
The earthquake happened in the southern part of Nho Quan district in Ninh Binh, adjacent to Thach Thanh and Ha Trung districts of Thanh Hoa. The Earthquake Information Center and Tsunami Warning Center stated that they are continuing to monitor this earthquake.
On social media, many residents living in the Nho Quan district of Ninh Binh and Thach Thanh of Thanh Hoa reported clearly feeling the tremors along with a loud noise from deep within the ground.

Mr. N.M.T from Nho Quan town shared that he felt the shaking for a few seconds while sitting in his house. Ms. L.N from Thach Binh in Thach Thanh district also reported feeling the tremors, with the ceiling lights swaying lightly.
Earlier this morning, at 9:45:27 AM (Hanoi time), another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 occurred at the Vietnam-Laos border, near the Ky Son district of Nghe An.
On May 25, a magnitude 3.2 earthquake also took place at coordinates (14.859 degrees North, 108.246 degrees East), with an epicenter depth of approximately 8.1 km, in the Kon Plong district of Kon Tum province.
The Earthquake Information Center and Tsunami Warning Center at the Institute of Geophysics reported that they are continuing to monitor these earthquakes.
