Zectron Bikes, a Hong Kong-based company, has introduced a new electric bike model that can be quickly folded in just two steps, as reported by New Atlas on October 28. The new bike model, named Zectron, features a 350W motor for the US version, allowing riders to reach speeds of up to 32km/h in pedal-assist mode, while the European version comes with a 250W motor, achieving speeds of 25km/h.
The integrated 417.6Wh battery provides a range of 120km per charge in pedal-assist mode or 60km when running entirely on electric power. A second removable battery, neatly placed under the frame in front of the pedals, has a capacity of 835Wh, offering a range of 250km per charge in pedal-assist mode or 120km when using electric power alone. This second battery also includes a USB charging port for charging smartphones while on the go.

The Zectron measures 150 x 65 x 106cm but can be folded down to 85 x 65 x 80cm in just two simple steps. The bike weighs 25kg and can support a maximum load of 120kg. It features a magnesium alloy frame with an adjustable seat post.
The wheels have aluminum rims with a diameter of 51cm, featuring 6 spokes, and the tires are 5.4cm wide. The bike uses a hydraulic disc brake system and includes integrated front and rear lights. A 3.9-inch LCD screen is built into the handlebars, displaying essential data about the bike and trip information.
Zectron Bikes is currently seeking funding on the Indiegogo website to develop this new bike model. According to the company’s plans, they will start delivering bikes to customers in April 2023.
