A clip showing a massive whale breaching the surface to feed has surfaced near Binh Hung Island, Cam Ranh City (Khanh Hoa), delighting many viewers.
This over one-minute-long clip, recorded by a group of tourists and shared on social media, has garnered numerous views and shares. The whale’s action of lunging with its mouth open has led many to believe that the whale is hunting for food.
Many people expressed their excitement at witnessing such a colossal whale swimming right before their eyes for the first time.
Whale feeding captured by locals in Cam Ranh
The person filming, named Nam, a local resident, mentioned that the whale appeared around 8 AM on June 25, about 400 meters from Binh Hung Island. “I’m not sure how much the whale weighs, but it’s as big as a boat. This area tends to see whales every 2-3 years,” said Nam.
