The Epic Battle in the Jungle Between the King Cobra and the King Cobra, an Unexpected Outcome!

On the YouTube channel Nick Wildlife, hosted by renowned Thai snake expert Nick Chomngam, a “super classic” battle was discovered between a king cobra and a reticulated python in the forest.

Reticulated python (scientific name: Python reticulatus) is prey to the king cobra (scientific name: Ophiophagus hannah). However, for larger pythons, this truly becomes a classic showdown, as the cobra can be fiercely countered by its prey.

The reticulated python’s counterattack technique involves coiling around the opponent’s neck to constrict the king cobra, potentially suffocating it. If the venom takes effect slowly, the cobra could end up being the one that perishes. However, an unexpected turn of events occurred during the battle.

Realizing that its prey was not so “easy to handle”, the king cobra released its victim. Seizing the opportunity, the reticulated python quickly fled. The venomous snake was later caught by the expert barehanded to demonstrate its dangers, before being released a short distance away.
