Although there is still about a year until the iPhone 16 series is launched by Apple, leaked information has revealed what we can expect from the new generation of iPhones.
When it comes to design changes on the iPhone, the most discussed factors include the camera layout, the notch area, and the color options available for the phone. However, elements that may not receive as much attention, such as the display, are equally important.
Since the launch of the iPhone 12 series in 2020, there have been no significant changes in iPhone sizes. However, the iPhone 16 series, expected to debut in 2024, may mark the beginning of a new size standard for iPhones with unprecedented screen dimensions.
MacRumors reports from sources indicating that the screen sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be significantly larger than those of the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, with the Max model approaching 7 inches for the first time.

Many sources suggest that the screen sizes for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. In comparison, the current iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches.
As the screen grows larger, the width and weight of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will also increase. Additionally, a larger size means more internal space for a higher-capacity battery.
Previously, reports indicated that Apple was testing a prototype of the iPhone 16 Pro featuring a hole-punch display. According to PhoneArena, this hole-punch area is where the selfie camera will be located, while the Face ID facial recognition system has been moved under the display.

This information has excited many Apple fans who are eager for the changes in the next generation of iPhones.
According to the leak expert Majin Bu, who has accurately shared information about unreleased Apple devices, the testing of the new display is still ongoing. The decision on whether the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a hole-punch display will have to wait until March next year.
“Apple is testing a hole-punch design for the iPhone 16 Pro, but it is not finalized. Detailed information will be available in March next year,” Majin Bu wrote on platform X on November 12.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to be unveiled by Apple in September 2024. Another anticipated upgrade for next year’s iPhone is that the Action Button will transition from a physical mechanism to a capacitive one.
