If you are a TikTok enthusiast, you are likely familiar with the trending cover clips titled “So, the flowers bloom in spring because of you.”
The trend “spring flowers bloom” has been very popular on TikTok recently.
It is known that the creator of this trend is a TikToker named Phat Tran. He combined the background music of You’ll Get Over It by DJ John with the phrase “So, the flowers bloom in spring because of you”, which he recorded himself to create a clip for his girlfriend. The clip quickly became “super hot”, with many people racing to cover it to flirt and showcase their charming looks…
But is it really “the flowers bloom in spring because of… you”? For dreamy hearts, those in love, or those wanting to flirt, the answer is yes. However, according to science, the answer is no! Scientists have studied this issue, and their research was published in Science – the academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), one of the most prestigious scientific journals.
Even cats are following the trend “Spring flowers bloom because of you”.
If you are more passionate about science than flirting, then update yourself with this extremely interesting knowledge:
According to research published in the journal Science, the activity of a protein that reacts to sunlight has triggered a chain reaction that helps plants bloom.
Previous studies have identified a protein called CONSTANS that controls flowering, influenced by changes in day and night duration. In this new research, Steve A. Kay and colleagues at the Scripps Research Institute in the U.S. discovered that a second protein, FKF1, regulates CONSTANS and thus controls flowering. By altering plant species to remove the FKF1 gene, scientists found that these plants flowered later than normal species.
In natural flowering species, the longer days in spring allow FKF1 to be sensitive to light, enabling CONSTANS to function robustly, thus initiating the flowering process. Now you know who truly causes flowers to bloom in spring!
Science may say that, but women are inherently flowers themselves. We don’t just “bloom” in spring; we “bloom” all year round. Always be a radiant and graceful flower, ladies!
