The Seoul city government confirmed this information on May 28, stating that the hotel, named Sky Suite, is located on the Hangang Bridge, connecting the northern and southern areas of the South Korean capital. The hotel, offering views of the Han River, is expected to welcome guests starting in July.
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon emphasized: “With the opening of Sky Suite on Hangang Bridge, the city aims to share the allure of the Han River and Seoul with the world.” The Seoul government highlighted that this is the first hotel in the world situated on a bridge.
Previously, the site served as a coffee shop but ceased operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since December 2023, the facility has been renovated and transformed into a hotel covering 144 square meters.
The hotel features a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom, accommodating up to four guests. Five glass windows will allow visitors to enjoy panoramic views of the Han River from every angle within the hotel.
A night’s stay at the hotel will cost between 345,000 won (approximately $260) and 500,000 won (approximately $370).
