Born on July 25, 1978, Louise came into the world after her parents, John and Lesley Brown, had spent nine years trying to conceive. Her birth brought hope to countless couples struggling with infertility.
Since then, millions of children have been born through in vitro fertilization (IVF), including the second child of John and Lesley, named Natalie, who is now 20 years old.
At 27, Louise and her husband, security officer Wesley Mullinder, are eagerly awaiting the birth of their own child, conceived naturally. The baby is expected to arrive in January next year.
The couple, living in the suburbs of Bristol, stirred public interest when they married in September 2004. “We really want to have our own child and hope we won’t need to use IVF,” Louise stated.
Mullinder, 36, expressed his excitement: “We are truly thrilled that Louise is pregnant now.”
Louise added, “I used to think of myself as someone special. I was always fascinated by how I was born when I was about 10 or 11 years old, but now I don’t think about it anymore because there are so many children born like that. Now I just focus on my life.”
