The first phase of the Hanoi Children’s Hospital project has been completed and is set to begin operations on October 9, with expectations to provide quality medical services and alleviate the burden on urban healthcare facilities.
Hanoi Children’s Hospital (Yen Nghia, Ha Dong) covers an area of 6,700m2 and has been completed after more than 2 years of construction. This is also the first specialized children’s hospital in Hanoi. The first phase of the project consists of two six-story buildings and a basement, with a total floor area of 34,364m².
Additionally, the first phase includes various facilities such as: outpatient examination and treatment areas; clinical technical departments; administrative and logistics departments; and inpatient treatment areas. The project will be inaugurated and officially opened in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024) on October 9.
According to the design, the total investment for the first phase of the Hanoi Children’s Hospital project is nearly 785 billion VND. As reported by the Economic & Urban Newspaper, the facility is ready to operate, serving the residents of Hanoi and neighboring provinces. Residents of the capital as well as nearby provinces will have access to a modern, spacious healthcare facility that meets high professional standards.
The hospital spans 6,700m2 and has been completed after over 2 years of construction.
According to information from the Hanoi Children’s Hospital, all imaging diagnostic systems such as a 128-slice CT scanner, ultrasound machines, X-ray machines, and biochemical and hematological testing equipment have been comprehensively and modernly invested. This integrated investment allows doctors to accurately diagnose and treat clinical cases.
Currently, the hospital is also developing appointment scheduling services through its website, Facebook page, and application to enhance convenience for patients. Hanoi Children’s Hospital aims to implement digital transformation across all areas: operational management and patient care. Notably, this includes the electronic medical record application, digital signatures, and plans to integrate artificial intelligence in medical care.
Hanoi Children’s Hospital comprises 24 departments, including 8 functional rooms and 16 specialized departments (11 clinical departments and 5 paraclinical departments).
