Jasmine flowers are commonly used to flavor green tea, but few people know about another highly beneficial use: their effectiveness in treating insomnia.
Not only is it useful for those recently experiencing insomnia, but it can also help individuals who have suffered from prolonged insomnia, the elderly who have difficulty sleeping, or those who experience restless sleep. Jasmine can be used as a calming remedy to achieve a deeper and more restful sleep.
Treating insomnia: Take 10 grams of jasmine flowers, 10 grams of lotus seeds, and 12 grams of cassia seeds, then brew them in water to drink. Consume one dose divided into three parts each day. In cases of recent insomnia, taking this remedy for 3 to 5 consecutive days will yield effective results.
Treating prolonged insomnia: Use 100 to 200 grams of jasmine roots, soak them in 1 liter of white alcohol (35 – 45 degrees). Each day, drink 10 to 20 milliliters before bedtime. If consuming alcohol is not an option, you can substitute it by washing the jasmine roots and boiling them in water to make a tea.
