This plant, also known as Amorphophallus titanum, possesses the largest unbranched flower cluster in the world, which can reach up to 3 meters in height.
This species only grows naturally in the tropical forests of Sumatra. However, it has become endangered due to deforestation.
Amorphophallus titanum originates from western Sumatra, Indonesia, where it grows in the valleys of tropical forests on limestone hills. Nowadays, it is cultivated by botanical gardens and private collectors worldwide to aid in its conservation.
