According to The Sun, the American Meteorological Society has confirmed the discovery of a meteorite fragment in Texas. They also reported that two other fragments were found in Italy and France.
Preliminary information has led NASA experts to believe that this meteorite, measuring up to 60 cm in length, flew across the Texas sky before breaking into several pieces and crashing to undisclosed locations.

The meteorite was traveling at a speed of 27,000 miles per hour (over 43,000 km/h) with energy equivalent to 8 tons of TNT, according to NASA Meteor Watch.
NASA has warned locals not to touch the burning space debris and to notify the police if they discover anything suspicious.
Previously, the AMS shared a photo of the newly discovered meteorite and noted that two other fragments had been found in Italy and France. The meteorite in Italy fell onto the balcony of a residential house.
The origin of the mysterious object has yet to be determined; however, NASA stated that space meteorites generally do not pose a threat to the public.

Security camera footage from the neighborhood near where the meteorite fragments fell also captured the sonic boom of the meteorite as it struck the ground. Some witnesses reported that when the meteorite fell, their windows shook violently, resembling an earthquake.
The National Weather Service in the United States stated that the fireball from the meteorite could be observed through weather satellites.
