Sony is gradually reclaiming its market share with a diverse range of products aimed at all types of users, including DVD recorders, DVD players, a new line of Sony Walkman competing with the iPod, laptops, Blu-ray players, and now a memory card data recovery service.
The Sony division in Europe, RME (Recording Media & Energy), has introduced the Memory Stick Data Rescue Service to users. This service helps recover image files and data stored on Memory Sticks that have been lost or deleted. Furthermore, the good news from the manufacturer is that the Memory Stick File Rescue service is compatible with all Sony Memory Stick cards produced since 1998.
However, users should be aware that data cannot be guaranteed to be 100% recoverable, and it is crucial not to overwrite data on the memory card.
This online tool is very simple to use, and you must register to access it. Afterward, fill in the serial number and model of your Memory Stick and download the compatible software to your device.
The formats that this service can recover include: .JPG (DCF format), .MPEG1, and .MP4 (MS Video File Format), including text files such as Word and PowerPoint documents.
This service is completely free, and users can download the software for free here.
