Genius has just introduced the G-Note 5000, a device that allows users to take notes, draw, or jot down spontaneous thoughts anytime, anywhere.
According to Genius, the G-Note 5000 can be used for note-taking with an included digital pen. What you write or draw will be stored on an integrated 32 MB memory card, allowing for the storage of up to 500 pages along with a file management function that helps you efficiently manage stored documents.
With its compact and attractive design, the G-Note 5000 is easy to carry around. Stored documents can be transferred to a computer via USB connection after downloading the Digital Organizer software. Many tools within the management software will assist you in viewing, organizing, interpreting, and editing those digital pages. Additionally, these digital papers can be copied or attached to Outlook Express, Word, PowerPoint, or Excel and can be shared with other devices via email.
Moreover, the multi-colored digital pen (available in black and red) is effective for highlighting and note-taking. The G-Note 5000 can be rotated in multiple directions as needed while writing. When connected to a computer, the digital pen can also serve as a mouse.
The device comes packaged with 2 digital ink pens, A5-sized paper, 3 pen caps, 4 AAA batteries for the electronic paper, 2 button batteries for the digital pen, 1 USB cable, and a quick installation guide. The device weighs 385g and measures 281 x 180 x 12 cm. The lifespan of the electronic paper’s battery is approximately 80 hours, while the pen’s battery lasts for 1000 hours.
According to Genius, for this device to function effectively, it requires a computer equipped with at least a Pentium processor, a USB port, Windows XP/2000 operating system, a minimum of 32 MB of free hard drive space, 128 MB of RAM, and a CD/DVD-ROM drive for software installation. The G-Note will be available on the market this weekend at a price of approximately 145 USD.
