A 40kg Fish Surprises Fishermen by Jumping Over Their Boat
In a surprising video clip, a group of people fishing in the Gulf of Mexico experienced an unbelievable moment.
The fish jumps right in front of a man named Ben Olsen.
A fish weighing over 40kg suddenly leaped out of the water and soared past a man named Ben Olsen. Moments later, the fish splashed back into the water on the opposite side of the boat. Olsen turned to ask his friend if they had captured the astonishing scene on their GoPro.
The slow-motion footage reveals a green and silver creature gliding past Olsen with its massive tail thrashing vigorously, nearly slapping him in the face.
Olsen, who owns Thorne Bros Fishing Tackle, commented: “Luckily, it didn’t hit me in the face. The fish is about 1.5 meters long and weighs over 40kg. If its head had hit me, it would have really hurt. That would have definitely been a bad day. I’ve been fishing my whole life and have worked in this industry for 15 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this before.”
“I was very excited because we captured this moment on Eric’s GoPro. I can’t wait to see what actually happened, beyond just seeing the two splashes of water.”
