An octopus has discovered a hunter hiding among the crevices of a coral reef. However, with its long tentacles, the octopus can easily grasp its opponent, leading to a fierce struggle between the two.
Octopus battles moray eel.
The octopus’s victim is the moray eel (Scientific name: Muraenidae), a fearsome predator with sharp teeth. However, the moray eel recognizes the octopus as a formidable opponent and attempts to escape rather than engage in combat.
The tentacles of the octopus have a high adhesive capability, making it difficult to break free. If the octopus manages to pull the moray eel towards its center (which is the mouth with sharp and hard beak), the eel would have a hard time surviving.
However, a surprising turn of events occurred when the moray eel struggled and narrowly escaped from “death”; the octopus could only watch in regret as its “meal” drifted further away.
