The Dragon’s Triangle is symmetrically located opposite the Bermuda Triangle on Earth’s coordinates and is known for the most terrifying disappearances and shipwrecks in Japan.
Dragon’s Triangle or The Devil’s Sea is located 100 km off the southern coast of Tokyo, Japan. This area is consistently ranked among the strongest electromagnetic wave regions, according to Marineinsight.
This region forms a triangle between Japan, the Bonin Islands, and a large part of the Philippine Sea. It is also commonly referred to as the Bermuda of the Pacific.

The name Dragon’s Triangle originates from a legend dating back 1,000 years. The Chinese believed that beneath these waters lies a gigantic dragon that swallows ships whenever it is hungry.
In this sea, many unexplained phenomena have occurred: the mysterious disappearance of ships and aircraft. Many have even reported seeing ghost ships wandering in this area.
Vessels entering this region often experience compass malfunctions, radio communication failures, and loss of contact. Additionally, they frequently encounter large waves, fog, whirlpools, and dense mist.
In the 1200s, Kublai Khan made several attempts to navigate the Devil’s Sea, resulting in the mysterious disappearance of many ships from his fleet, leading to the “evaporation” of over 40,000 soldiers. In the early 1800s, many sailors reported seeing a mysterious woman walking on the deck of a ship.
In May 1945, to gain supremacy at sea, the U.S. Navy’s special Task Force 38, which included aircraft carriers and destroyers, bombarded the Japanese special forces continuously for three days and nights.
They then paused for refueling in preparation for the next assault. Suddenly, the entire fleet found itself battling a fierce natural disaster right in this sea.
Unexpectedly caught in a massive storm with gusts exceeding level 12 and waves towering over 18 meters, 16 warships sustained severe damage.
More than 200 fighter planes were swept off the deck of the aircraft carrier, and 765 sailors were killed or went missing. This was the largest natural disaster the U.S. Navy faced during World War II.
On April 19, 1957, while the Japanese ship “Kichisenkan” was navigating the “Dragon’s Triangle” back from the Pacific, the captain and crew encountered a rare phenomenon.
They saw “two shiny, wingless flying objects, over 10 meters in diameter, resembling disks made of metal, falling from the sky and landing in the water not far from the ship. Following this, large waves suddenly rose on the sea.”
In 1952, the Japanese government sent the research vessel Kaio Maru No. 5 to investigate the mysteries of this sea. However, the ship and its 31 crew members never returned from that voyage. This led the Japanese government to declare the Dragon’s Triangle unsafe for maritime travel and cargo transport in the 1950s.
In the book released in 1989, The Dragon’s Triangle, author Charles Berlitz pointed out that from 1952 to 1954, Japan lost 5 warships and 700 people in this sea.

According to statistics from the Maritime Security Department of Japan’s Maritime Safety Agency, from 1963 to 1972, 161 ships went missing. The Devil’s Sea has long become a terrifying nightmare for sailors in Japan and around the world.
However, in 1995, Larry Kusche published another book pointing out that the ships Berlitz mentioned were actually fishing vessels, and some disappeared outside the Dragon’s Triangle. The research vessel sent by Japan disappeared due to sinking caused by an underwater volcanic eruption.
Larry also noted that the Dragon’s Triangle is an area with active volcanoes. Due to volcanic activity and geological changes, many islands in this area have suddenly disappeared, while new ones have emerged.
The mysteries of this place also attract many researchers. They suggest that changes in the natural environment are also among the causes of the mysterious disappearances. The Dragon’s Triangle is not officially drawn on any global maps with accurate dimensions or perimeter.
Some even speculate that beneath these waters lies an alien base with “fanciful” devices that disrupt human equipment, leading to disappearances and sinking.
Or is there a hidden civilization beneath the “Dragon’s Triangle”? And could there be a nuclear system left by an ancient civilization?
Although many scientists have explained the phenomena here, many still believe that the Dragon’s Triangle is home to some supernatural force, such as UFOs and USOs (Unidentified Submersible Objects).…
