The search giant Google has just launched a brand new service that allows users to quickly search for links to song lyrics, artist names, and their released CDs.
By using Google Music, once you type a keyword such as the name of a band, artist, album, or song into Google’s special search bar, you will receive the result link right at the top of the page. You can easily identify these results by the music note icon right next to them.
According to Google, a range of links to websites that allow you to purchase or download songs and albums will be displayed alongside the search results. The digital music services Google is partnering with include Apple Computer’s iTunes, RealNetworks Rhapsody, eMusic, and Amazon.com.
“We do not sell products ourselves. We simply direct users to places where they can make purchases,” a Google spokesperson stated.
If you want to learn more in-depth information about music, such as which songs are included on a CD or other CDs that the band or artist has released, click on the links below that Google “promotes” for you. Each album comes with reviews, critiques, and brief summaries provided by reputable music websites. Of course, links to the main album introduction are also displayed.
