Do you know what the sound of humpback whales is like? Google will help you find out!
Google has quietly updated a fascinating feature for its search engine. Specifically, they have added a database of characteristic sounds made by various animal species (which you can listen to on your phone or computer). Each animal’s sound is accompanied by an adorable illustration.
To hear the sounds of these animals, you can type the keywords “animal sounds” or “animal noises” into the Google Search box to activate this feature.
Google will display a list of animal images along with a speaker icon next to them, allowing users to click and listen to their calls.
There may be some differences in how various languages describe an animal’s sound. For example, a cat may say “nyaa” in one language, but in English, users will hear it as “meow.”
One additional note: if you cannot activate “animal noises” on your current browser (such as Chrome), try switching to Edge or Mozilla Firefox to experience this fun feature.
