From Connecting Computers to Trendy PCs: The Rise of the ePod Soho
In the past, connecting a computer to an iPod was a novelty, but now you can own a flashy and uniquely designed computer case that resembles this iconic MP3 player.
Just yesterday, Logisys Computer introduced a new model in its unique PC case lineup, named the ePod Soho. This white case features a keyboard layout that mimics what you would see on an Apple iPod, complemented by a system of blue LED lights that constantly flash, ensuring your PC shines brightly at night.
The ePod is not the only innovative idea from Logisys. In fact, the company has been in the custom PC case business for quite some time, offering a variety of styles that cater to every whim of tech users.
Another unique design from Logisys is a transparent green acrylic case, paired with an optical mouse designed to resemble a Volkswagen Beetle, aimed at fans of this cute classic car.
Logisys’s motto, “We create the difference,” somewhat echoes Apple’s “Think Different” campaign.

The days of laptops being limited to traditional colors like white, black, silver, and sky blue are gone. Now, whether you prefer an orange laptop, one with a striking rocker pattern, or one as gentle as Cupid drawing his bow, as long as you’re willing to spend, you can have it!
According to Nick Bhavsar, CEO of LaptopLids and a former student at the University of Texas, laptops are like boxes that can easily have their “lids” changed.
The plastic laptop covers released by this company have been very popular, tapping into the fashion needs and personal identity expression of tech users. As a die-hard fan of the Texas football team, Nick has created bright orange covers featuring the team’s iconic horn logo.

After a long period dominated by the belief that “laptops must be black,” users and manufacturers have changed their mindset. Companies like Apple, Sony, Acer, and Alienware have always been trendsetters in the laptop industry. Even veterans like Dell, HP, and Lenovo have recognized the need for a “makeover.”

Now, everyone understands that laptops are no longer just tools for work; they have become fashion statements for their users.
At CES 2006, Dell unveiled the XPS PC, a laptop with a shell that sparkles like “lightning.” Similar to Laptop Lids, Dell has begun selling notebook cases as fashion accessories, available in a variety of colors and logos. HP’s Livestrong notebook line features the bright yellow signature of cyclist Lance Armstrong on the casing as a distinguishing mark. Further back, last fall, Intel showcased a series of laptop models featuring ultra-smooth and beautiful fiber material cases.

In addition to plastic, leather and denim materials have also been used to create laptop cases.
Playing with Color
However, the champions of style customization are the companies that… paint laptops. A company named Smooth Creations has soared to success thanks to the extraordinary craftsmanship of its painters. Smooth Creations, which has shifted smoothly from automotive painting to laptop painting, has been in the business for 15 years, offering custom paint jobs for individual customers and companies like Alienware and Hypersonic.
