A Woman Shocked as She Captures a Snake Attempting to Swallow an Egg in Her Home.
Laura Neff, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, recorded the incident. In the clip, a snake slithers down a spice rack and heads towards a basket of eggs.
Laura recounted: “A noise made us look up at the spice rack… A snake was stretching down towards the basket of eggs below.”
According to Laura, the reptile was identified as a Black Racer. This species is non-venomous and is actually considered beneficial to homeowners as it preys on small rodents.

She mentioned that the snake entered her home through a hole in the laundry room floor. She allowed it to finish the egg before attempting to remove it from the house.
After letting the snake “enjoy” the egg, Laura used two brooms to gently capture the snake and take it outside.
“Everything was fine and ended well,” Laura stated.
