Rockets penetrate the thick atmosphere of Earth thanks to powerful thrust, adjusting their trajectory according to gravitational forces to send objects into space.
Launch vehicles (also known as space rockets) are a type of ballistic missile used to launch spacecraft or artificial satellites into orbit around Earth or to facilitate space travel to planets within the Solar System or beyond. In English, the term Carrier rocket is used, and in Russian, the term Ракета-носитель refers to launch vehicles. A direct translation of both terms would mean payload rocket, thus, in some contexts, the term payload rocket is equivalent to launch vehicle or space rocket. In Vietnamese military terminology, the term payload rocket is often used in the context of nuclear warhead-carrying missiles, etc. Therefore, the terms launch vehicle (or space rocket) are more commonly used. |
