Do you have a CD writer and an old original copy of Windows XP? Why not create your own installation disk for Windows XP with the latest updates and patches? This way, it will become your own unique item. Wondering how to do it? Just read the instructions below. (I’ll also show you how to install Windows XP as quickly as possible!)
Step 1: First, you need to prepare a few things:
Step 2: Upgrade your Windows version to SP2!
– Copy your Windows XP to the hard drive (for example: folder C:XP_SP2).
– Open the command line window Start > Run > cmd
– Navigate to the folder containing the upgrade (for me, it’s D:update).
– Follow my command: WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU /integrate:C:XP_SP2.
– Press Enter, and a window will pop up updating the files for your Windows XP:
– After that, you will see a message indicating that the update process was successful:
– Your XP version has now been upgraded to SP2!
Tip: To simplify, go to run and use the command D:updateWindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe -s:C:XP_SP2 (This method can also be used to add patches provided by Microsoft to your installation disk).
Step 3: Edit the winnt.sif file in i386 for a smoother installation:
– Open it with Notepad (if you don’t have this file, create one and save it as winnt.sif), my file looks like this:

Step 4: The main task is complete; now let’s burn it to a disk:
– Insert your original XP disk, open IsoBuster, select the “folder” Bootable CD, right-click on Microsoft Corporation.img, choose Extract Microsoft Corporation.img, and save it in a folder (e.g., D:bootXP).
– Now, open Nero and select the disc type CD-ROM (Boot) in Nero Burning ROM, then set the parameters as shown in the image below:
(If you don’t change the Number of loaded sectors to 4, your disk won’t boot)
– You should label the disk as WXPCCP_EN for the Windows XP SP2 version.
– Click New and transfer all files from the folder containing the Windows XP files (for me, these are the files and folders in C:XP_SP2) to the disk and burn it. That’s it.
Wishing you success!
