One afternoon, Grigority Doroni’s wife, just 20 years old, suddenly said: “I’m so tired; I think I’m about to leave this world.” The next day, she was involved in a car accident and died. Can some people foresee their own death? Is the phenomenon of predicting or sensing death real?
Human Intuition Before Death?
No one can know exactly when they will die or what will lead them to leave this world for an unknown realm. However, some individuals seem to sense their own impending death. Strange intuition is what helps people explain this incomprehensible mystery.
Inna P recounts: One summer, she and her husband returned to their hometown. One day, while standing on the balcony overlooking the Volga River, he suddenly asked her: “Do you think I will die here?” Of course, his wife was shocked by this question, as her husband was a healthy man. But then, just a few weeks later, he unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack.
There are many such examples. American doctors William Green, Stefan Goldstein, and Alex Moss, who specialize in studying death phenomena, have investigated thousands of stories behind patients who passed away “suddenly.” The results show that most of them predicted their own deaths.
The Unusual Intuition of 11-Year-Old Victim of MH17
A few days before flying to visit his grandmother in Bali, Miguel Panduwinata, an 11-year-old boy, kept asking his mother about God and what happens to souls when people die, along with questions about funerals. His mother, Samira, always comforted him while he felt anxious and distressed.
Boy Miguel Panduwinata, 11 years old (far left) photographed at the airport with his mother and siblings. Before heading to the airport, the boy sensed death.
The night before the trip, the boy asked his mother: “Mom, can I hug you?” And Samira held him close all night. The next day, she felt relieved as her son returned to his normal, excited mood about going to the airport.
As they were about to board, the boy suddenly ran to hug his mother, saying he would miss her very much, along with the question of what would happen if the plane crashed. His mother, surprised, reassured him, and Miguel’s older brother also tried to calm him down. With a sad face, Miguel finally agreed to board flight MH17.
Just two hours later, Samira received the horrifying news that the plane had crashed. She fainted from shock. Samira believes Miguel had a premonition about the plane crash, and she regretted not postponing or canceling the flight.
Intuition of Vocal Coach Anna Schoff
Rose Gilbert, who lived in Tucson, Arizona, had a dream of becoming a famous star. Thus, she decided to find an apartment in New York to live and pursue her career.
However, her vocal coach, Anna Schoff, had a bad feeling that something terrible would happen if Rose Gilbert went to New York. Anna shared this with Rose, but Rose thought Anna was jealous and afraid her student would succeed.
Determined, Rose moved to New York to live with two friends, John Dalton and an unnamed woman. On June 21, 2005, some of Rose’s friends went to the apartment and discovered a horrific scene. The bloodied body of Rose Gilbert lay on the kitchen floor. John Dalton was also murdered, lying face down on the bed with no clothing covering him.
The Death of Princess Diana
Princess Diana
The death of Princess Diana was a massive shock to the whole world. A terrible accident took away the lives of Diana, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, and their driver, Henri Paul.
Six years after her death, when things seemed to return to normal, Paul Burrell, Diana’s former butler, caused another shock by claiming he had found a letter written by the princess. In the letter, Diana revealed she had a feeling that she would be killed.
At this time, Burrell published a book revealing the princess’s letter. Burrell stated that Diana sensed someone wanted to kill her and would orchestrate a car accident. However, some people believe Burrell fabricated the letter to promote his book.
Intuition of Music Producer
Joe Meek was a music producer when Buddy Holly was a world-famous singer.
Singer Buddy Holly
In addition to music production, Joe Meek was also skilled in tarot card reading. After one tarot reading, Joe stated that Buddy Holly would die on February 3, 1958. However, he was unable to reach the famous singer to inform him of this.
On February 3 that year, Meek breathed a sigh of relief when Holly went on tour without any mishaps. However, a year later, the plane carrying Holly, Big Bopper, and Ritchie crashed into a cornfield while en route to Minnesota. All aboard died, and that was February 3. It turned out Meek’s premonition came true a year later.
Scientific Explanation
Indeed, their “intuition” does not manifest as prophetic words or timely preparations for burial, but rather stems from a special psychological state often tied to the desire to arrange matters. The issue is that in the short time leading up to death, many people often experience a depressive state that can last from a week to half a year. Medicine suggests that this strange melancholy occurs due to hormonal changes in the body. The psychological characteristic of this phenomenon, which outwardly appears to be baseless depression, is the preparation of the central nervous system for the inevitable departure from life. This notion aligns with the views of many researchers who believe that death is merely a “transition” of consciousness to another form of existence, a level of energy. However, why does the body require this “psychological preparation“? Certainly, it cannot be just to get everything in order.
How can the human ability to predict death be explained? The Tibetan Book of the Dead offers an answer to this question. According to Eastern beliefs, humans are beings with two forms: the physical and the spiritual. The physical constitutes the human body, while the spiritual forms the spirit, which is invisible and envelops the soul. Death is essentially the separation of the spiritual form from the physical form. The spiritual form has a aura that only psychics can perceive. The radiation from this aura allows psychics to diagnose a person’s health and consequently foresee death.
But why must humans undergo such terrifying intuition? Is there some interference from nature? There is an interesting hypothesis regarding this. For a long time, scientists have known this phenomenon in the laboratory: Before death, living body cells emit a sudden burst of strong radiation. Polish physicist Janusz Slawinsky suggests that this strong wave may contain information about the life essence of a dying body and may also preserve fragments of consciousness and memory. Could this be the primary purpose of the final signals emitted by dying cells?
Religion often speaks of the continuation of life after death. The aura disappears before death, similar to how any cosmic material leaves traces in space before decomposition. Along with a complex energy system of the person (the spiritual form), the aura carries all information about a deceased person to the other world, or in other words, consciousness. Therefore, only the physical body can die, while consciousness continues to exist as a cloud of energy. The radiation emitted from biological tissues at the moment of death seems to give the “spiritual form” its final jolt, sending the immortal soul of a person into the universe.
