Following the recent appearance of the ASIMO robot, on September 14, 2005, a special event will take place at the Trịnh Hòai Đức Sports Hall (12 Trịnh Hoài Đức, Ba Đình District, Hanoi) for those interested in the development of global science and technology. This event will showcase the concept car known as I-UNIT.
The I-UNIT is a concept car designed for individual use, featuring only one seat. Its curvy, soft shape resembles a falling leaf, while also embodying the sturdy and powerful essence of a beetle. Crafted with modern technology, it evokes a sense of balance and reassurance in the observer.
The inspiration drawn from nature is not merely a whim in the creation of the I-UNIT but carries a profound message about the harmony between humanity and nature. This harmony is reflected in the car’s shape, design, and the energy it utilizes. The exterior paint and chrome finish are made from environmentally friendly materials. In the future, the I-UNIT will operate on artificial energy sources that are eco-friendly.
Between the person sitting inside and the one outside the vehicle, there exists only a minimal separation created by the windshield in front of the driver and the leaf-like frame that protects the shoulders while extending down to the hands, forming a spacious opening that allows for interaction between the inside and outside.
With the ability to raise or lower the height of the vehicle to match its speed, when you choose to reduce the height from 1.8 meters to 1.25 meters while simultaneously extending the length from 1.1 meters to 1.8 meters, the I-UNIT can potentially achieve the speed of a sports car in the future.
In the near future, I-UNITS will be interconnected within a GMS (Global Positioning System) network, enabling them to automatically recognize nearby vehicles and avoid collisions when you select the safety driving mode. Currently, only one I-UNIT has been unveiled in Vietnam.
