The International Data Group (IDG) will collaborate with the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) in promotional and trade activities to boost the development of Vietnam’s software industry. The agreement, effective from 2006 to 2010, was officially signed yesterday afternoon.
Accordingly, IDG and VINASA will work together to organize international exhibitions and seminars on software, digital entertainment, and facilitate the participation of international software companies in related events in Vietnam. In the upcoming period, IDG will support VINASA in hosting the annual International Software and Games Festival, abbreviated as ISGAF, which will take place from May 26 to 29 this year at the Giang Vo Exhibition Center in Hanoi.
A representative from VINASA stated that in 2006, ISGAF expanded into an international event and has become the most significant trade promotion activity for Vietnam’s software industry. The festival has received support from the Asia-Oceania Computer Industry Organization (ASOCIO), with participation from 20 countries and territories. ISGAF’s activities will be promoted across IDG’s global media channels.
