The Japanese tech company Science has just introduced an automatic bathing machine that performs body hygiene tasks such as washing, massaging, and drying in just five minutes.
This automatic bathing machine is called “Project Usoyaro,” and the company describes it as helping to “cleanly wash” individuals who are so exhausted after a long day of work that they just want to crawl straight into bed. Users simply lie down in the machine while it carries out the hygiene process.

According to Oddity Central, the concept of an automatic bathing machine for humans is not new. At the Osaka Expo in 1970, the Japanese electronics giant Sanyo launched the “Ultrasonic Bath,” a machine designed for human use that could clean, massage, and dry completely automatically in a 15-minute cycle. However, the Ultrasonic Bath never became a commercial product.
Now, another Japanese tech company is looking to experiment with this innovative idea, promising to provide a modern bathing product for consumers by 2025.
The new automatic bathing machine called Project Usoyaro, part of the Mirable product line, is equipped with the latest fine foam technology, as well as various monitoring sensors and an artificial intelligence system to create a complex bathing experience.

“The goal of Project Usoyaro is not only to thoroughly clean the user’s body but also to serve as a therapy for mental health care. The automatic bathing machine helps users relax, immersing themselves in soothing music thanks to the integrated sound system and entertainment screen, allowing them to enjoy their favorite content while bathing,” Techblog quoted information from Science.

The sensors inside this automatic bathing machine can also measure the state of the human sympathetic nervous system. Meanwhile, the integrated AI system will use the collected data to create the most relaxing atmosphere possible for users.

Science hopes to complete the development of the automatic bathing machine for humans by 2024 and will introduce this product at the Osaka Expo in 2025.
