An Iraqi man has set a world record by balancing 18 eggs on the back of his hand.
Ibrahim Sadeq, a resident of Nasiriyah, Iraq, achieved this remarkable feat with raw chicken eggs, earning him a place in the record books.
When you place a raw egg with both the white and yolk in liquid form on a flat surface, it naturally finds a stable position. However, stacking multiple eggs on the back of your hand is no easy task.
Ibrahim Sadeq became determined to master the skill of balance after watching a captivating video of a man stacking rocks in nature.
“It was amazing to watch that clip. I began to feel inspired and started balancing everything around me. I was surprised by my own abilities; I was really good at it. After a while, I could balance longer than my friends,” Ibrahim Sadeq shared.
Ibrahim Sadeq broke the previous record set by Jack Harris from the UK in May 2020.
To achieve the record of balancing raw eggs, Ibrahim Sadeq dedicated a significant amount of time to practice, following a training schedule of four sessions a week.
He stated: “You need to have intense concentration to accomplish this record. It’s very difficult to succeed. I had to endure both pain and pressure on the back of my hand.”
According to the rules, Ibrahim Sadeq had to keep the fragile eggs in the correct position for at least five seconds without dropping any.
“It’s hard to describe the secret behind the art of balancing, but I believe it requires a lot of patience, focus, and staying calm,” he said.
The man expressed: “Officially becoming a Guinness World Record holder has been a dream come true for me. I want the world to appreciate the art of balance, and I hope to inspire someone to start their own journey of dreams.”
Some world records related to raw chicken eggs include the tallest stack of raw eggs, which is four eggs set by Mohammed Abelhameed Mohammed Muqbel in Istanbul, Turkey, on December 25, 2021; and the largest Easter egg hunt, which featured 501,000 eggs with the participation of 9,753 children and their parents in Florida, USA, in 2007.
