News from the Kon Tum Department of Science and Technology on July 18 reported that, during a recent survey and investigation of mineral resources, their survey team discovered a large Dolomite deposit in Kon Gô village, Đăk Pne commune, Kon Rẫy district.
Initial survey data indicates that the Kon Gô Dolomite deposit contains at least three mineral bodies of significant size, along with smaller Dolomite lenses located on mountain peaks ranging from 850 to 1,000 meters above sea level. The total estimated reserve of this Dolomite deposit is approximately 32.084 million tons.
Preliminary analysis of samples shows that the Dolomite in Kon Gô has good quality, meeting the requirements for producing alkaline refractory bricks, which are essential for high-tech industries such as ferrous metallurgy and high-quality glass manufacturing. Additionally, the Kon Gô Dolomite deposit is advantageous due to its ease of extraction and transportation.
