Photographer Ken Pretty from the town of Dildo in Newfoundland has captured images of a penis-shaped iceberg off the coast of Canada. This photographer took the photo of the melting iceberg using a drone near the town of Harbor Grace, located along Conception Bay.
The penis-shaped iceberg floating off the coast of Dildo, Newfoundland in Conception Bay, Canada, before it melted.
Pretty shared this image on his Facebook, attracting a lot of views and comments. “I knew I would get many comments, but I didn’t expect it to be this many,” Pretty told Saltwire news agency.
Pretty photographed the 9.1-meter tall iceberg on April 27, before it melted the following day.
According to CBC News, this is a peak melting season in Newfoundland and Labrador, with over 200 icebergs drifting off the coast of the two provinces.
Diane Davis, who runs a Facebook group for iceberg hunters, told CBC: “The winds onshore are bringing both the iceberg and the icebergs drifting. If the trend continues, we will also see melting ice in May and June. Mother Nature only showed us a little melting ice last year.”
Stories and images related to shapes resembling male genitalia always attract viewers. In 2021, a man posted images of a penis-shaped rock formation in Arches National Park, and the photo went viral. The Cambodian government once pleaded with citizens to stop picking Nepenthes bokorensis, a plant that closely resembles a penis.
