The most expensive laptops currently on the shelves of computer stores in Ho Chi Minh City are likely from Toshiba.
At Digiworld, a store specializing in laptops, the most expensive laptop is the Toshiba Portege M200, priced at $2,999, followed by the Toshiba Portege R200 at $2,749. At Nguyen Hoang Computer Supermarket, the priciest laptop on display is also from Toshiba—the Qosmio G15A V501, which is priced at 45,413,000 VND, approximately $2,700.
Laptops priced over $2,000 are currently rare due to a limited market. Surveys indicate that each brand only offers a few models in this range. Specifically, Toshiba has the aforementioned models, while Sony offers the Vaio series including VGN-FS28 GP, VGN-S46 GP/S, and VGN-S48 GP/B. Acer features its famous Ferrari line and the TravelMate 8000 series, while Fujitsu has the LifeBook N6210, and HP has the NW8240…
Advantages
The aforementioned laptop lines typically boast powerful configurations, utilizing components and hardware equipped with the latest technology, and fast processing speeds. They meet demanding requirements for graphics and online gaming compared to standard models, especially at the time of their release.
Additionally, they offer extensive connectivity capabilities with various devices, compatibility with new communication standards, and unique features that many other laptops lack.
For instance, Acer’s Ferrari model features a shiny red and silver casing made from carbon fiber technology similar to that used in Formula 1 racing cars. The company claims this material is eight times stronger than steel and weighs only half as much as aluminum.
Some high-end laptops feature glossy screens, with various brands naming them differently: BenQ calls theirs B-M-W Bright-Mirror-Wide; Acer uses CrystalBrite; Toshiba brands it as ClearSuperView; HP-Compaq refers to it as BrightView; and Sony markets it as XBRITE. These screens allow for television viewing with brightness and clarity from various angles. Many models also include fingerprint security features…
Some expensive laptops even come with screens that can rotate and fold back or use touchscreens capable of handwriting recognition…
