Indeed, the QuaNext operates on an open-source operating system.
This 19-inch LCD TV can easily and quickly transform into a home computer with just one button press on the remote control. Similarly, you can switch back from PC mode to TV mode in an instant using the same button.
QuaNext, an electronics brand from Hong Kong, claims that their product is “ideal for the living room, bedroom, or kitchen, where it’s not easy to set up a separate computer.” With a resolution of 1440 x 990 pixels, the 2GB DDR RAM is sufficient to run all programs smoothly.
The most interesting feature of this LCD TV/computer combo is that it includes a CD/DVD drive on top. However, this arrangement may allow dust to enter the device quite easily, and you may find yourself needing repairs or replacements sooner than expected.
It is still unclear what the price or release date will be for this multifunctional TV model.
