The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just signed a decision recognizing the traditional craft of chili salt production in Tay Ninh Province as a national intangible cultural heritage.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has instructed the relevant authorities in Tay Ninh Province and associated entities to carry out this decision regarding the national intangible cultural heritage.
With this decision, the chairpersons of local People’s Committees where the recognized intangible cultural heritage is located will be responsible for state management in accordance with legal regulations on cultural heritage.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh Province, in 2022, Tay Ninh had 37 facilities registered for the chili salt production brand, located in areas such as Tay Ninh City, Go Dau District, Trang Bang Town, Hoa Thanh Town, and scattered throughout Chau Thanh and Ben Cau Districts.

Thus, along with the art of Southern amateur singing (in Tay Ninh Province), the GIA LOC village festival, Chhay-dam drum dance, the process of making Trang Bang dew-dried rice paper, the Linh Son Mother festival at Ba Den Mountain, the Quan Lon Tra Vong festival in Tan Bien, and the art of vegetarian food preparation, the traditional craft of chili salt production in Tay Ninh is the 8th cultural heritage of this province recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
