Not only does it boast an impressive exterior, but the interior of the Boeing 747-8i is also lavishly appointed with all the necessary amenities, including a living room, bedrooms, dining area, and a grand foyer… Consequently, it comes with a price tag in the hundreds of millions of dollars and is often referred to as a “mansion in the sky.”
The aircraft’s interior was designed by the renowned French interior design firm Cabinet Alberto Pinto and was purchased by a Middle Eastern entrepreneur for private use. This model has seen success in the Middle East, with Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, and the UAE all utilizing the 747-8i to cater to heads of state.
In an interview with Altitudes Magazine, designer Yves Pickardt stated that his vision was to create a “light modern” style for the aircraft. Owners typically prefer something that is not overly extravagant, adorned with gold or diamonds, but rather a simple vehicle that still exudes luxury.

The entire process, from design to execution, took four years, and this aircraft is currently being maintained at AMAC Aerospace in Basel, Switzerland. Designer Pickardt noted that the project was completed on time and within budget.
