NASA Reports Rising Temperatures on Mars and Evidence of Seismic Activity
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced that temperatures on Mars are gradually increasing. Images captured by the Mars exploration spacecraft have provided the first evidence of seismic activity, which may be characterized as earthquakes on the Red Planet.
NASA indicates that the appearance of new channels and wear marks on Martian rocks suggests sudden events have occurred over the past few years, changing previous perspectives on Mars’ climate and formation. These channels and wear patterns may result from rocks falling due to extreme cold or seismic activity.
Images taken over the past six years also show that the climate on Mars is warming. This suggests the possibility of a habitable environment in the deeper regions of Mars. However, scientists have yet to explain the cause of this phenomenon.
