After several months of “closing” the testing of Windows Vista, yesterday (June 7), Microsoft officially launched the broad testing of the new operating system version.
This means that anyone can download the Windows Vista beta version.
Through the “Customer Preview Program,” the operating system developer aims to gather feedback from millions of technology enthusiasts regarding the Windows Vista version.
It can be said that Microsoft is making efforts to accelerate the testing and development of Windows Vista, with the goal of meeting the expected timeline for officially launching this new operating system version early next year.
Last month, Microsoft released the Windows Vista Beta 2 version. However, this version was also limited to a small number of testers, but Microsoft has committed to making this version available for broader testing soon.
In addition, Microsoft is still quite concerned that Windows Vista is not yet ready for average users. The Customer Preview Program may only be suitable for developers, technology experts, and tech enthusiasts who have sufficient system resources to test and detect bugs in the new operating system version.
Currently, users can download the Windows Vista version at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/default.mspx or pay a small fee to receive the Vista version on DVD.
