On June 20, children who drink 2 glasses of mineral water per day may have stronger, healthier teeth and avoid dental erosion.
This study was conducted with 200 students aged between 11 and 13.
According to scientists, the minerals found in mineral water help protect tooth enamel from being eroded by acids that linger in the mouth after eating.
Even drinking 2-3 glasses of sparkling water per day yields similar results.
In contrast to cavities, erosion often goes undetected until it reaches a serious stage.
Therefore, researchers recommend that parents pay special attention to their children’s diet to help them avoid tooth erosion or cavities.
According to scientists, the best way to prevent this condition is to use toothpaste containing fluoride or drink 2 glasses of mineral water per day.
